  1. I saw a documentary on this subject before. The companies that dug aspestous (?) out of the earth knew about it's effects long before anyone else did. Knowing this information, they still did not require their workers to wear safety masks. The workers didn't think they would get sick and didn't wear them. Mostly because the masks made it hard to breathe. It's very sad. lot of people used aspestous in their homes as instalation.

    A neat fact - one company even used it is baking. Aspestous cookies. I think they were chocolate chip. They even had commercials advertising that you could add aspestous to your baking and cooking. They were out to make as much money as possible.
